About Calabash Wearable Wood

Calabash Collection was built from a lifelong passion for creating things by hand. From woodworking and carving to building custom pieces, craftsmanship has always been at the center of the brand. Inspired by growing up around construction and art, Calabash Collection combines natural materials with creativity to create wearable wood products designed for everyday use.
 

The inspiration behind the business comes from both family and experience. With a retired general contractor father and an artist mother who now works alongside the business, Calabash Collection blends craftsmanship, artistry, and functionality into every piece. Experience creating scenery and props for television, theater, and commercials also helped shape the creative process and attention to detail behind the brand.
 

The name “Calabash” was inspired by the Calabash tree and its hard-shelled gourds traditionally used to create bowls, containers, masks, and ornaments. That inspiration, combined with the natural beauty of rare Hawaiian koa wood, led to the creation of handcrafted hats, wallets, jewelry, wall art, and wearable wood art inspired by Hawaii and island living.
 

Every product is handcrafted in Hawaii and designed to showcase the beauty, texture, and uniqueness of natural wood.
